Kong Zhongqi,also called Kong Qingfu,was born in Shanghai in 1934, He graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting,China Academy of Art in 1960 and since then he has worked in the college as a teacher. 　Giving course as a professor on landscape painting in China Academy of Art , he is a member topping the list of painters named by the Xiling Calligraphy and Painting Studio of Hangzhou . He is also a member of the Chinese Fine Arts Artists Association; Former Executive Chairman of Oriental Boya Society; President of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence College, Hangzhou Branch;a member of the United Nations Aesthetics Education Program;and a member of the Chinese Landscape Painters Association.
